Red (6)

Pure, Innocent
warm and energetic
Stable loyal
Infatuation, affection
Isolated, reliable, secure?
deep, dark and fiery

Not at all cold and unfriendly

Love coexists with blindness
 We chose to not see
the sins of the people we love

I haven’t seen in him in days
he was removed from my shade
 they termed us unhealthy
they meant to keep us apart

but wasn’t it my duty to ensure
he didn’t get lost in himself
or worse at the bottom of a bottle
but wasn’t it my duty
To know how his mind works
To know how his body works

Of cause, I escaped
I found him at his place
in his room, on the floor
drenched in black and white paint
I laughed when he touched my face
paint dripping all over my dress
then he leaned in and we kissed

I forgot about the paint
 I forgot about the warning
In this room
there was nothing cold or unfriendly
I was tackled by an unbridled passion
aggressively defiled by waves of fire
we let it consume us to ash
a warmth so deep, dark and fiery

 I snuck back home
prayed he would forget the erotic faces
I knew I will be captured in canvas

My body remained unwashed
black and white paint
mixed grey like ash

Love coexists with blindness
We chose to not see
the sins of the people we love
