The Date.

“The usual”,  She smiles at the barrister.

As usual, she sits at table 19, it is on permanent reserve Thursdays at 3:00pm.

Unusual, were the two cups brought to the table, one slightly bigger than the other.

Unusual, was what seemed like a conversation from one cup to the other.

As usual,  those who knew her gave her a warm smile.

As usual, she left a big tip and the small cup full of cold chocolate milk.

    1. Yeah, I left it open to be interpreted by the reader however they see fit. The moment I give my version of it, or my thought process when writing it, then it dilutes the whole piece.
