On the trail we trek,
in the sludge we tramp,
a march of agony,
up and up we hike,
they say it is good for us,
then the gear they hike,
zombified we don’t mind,
up and up we drudge,
and with every step they milk us dry,
dehydrated, deoxygenated, we try,
to hoist our selves up with pride,
but behind they hike us bare,
prod us inside out,
not even our dignity survives to tell,
On the trail we trek…
